Conduct Disorder
Without intervention, ODD can develop into conduct disorder. Conduct disorder involves a repeating pattern of the violation of other people's rights or persistent violations of age-appropriate social rules. Conduct disorder often includes:
- Physical aggression toward people or animals
- Use of weapons, such as bats, knives, or guns
- Theft
- Forcing someone into sexual activity
- Arson
- Destruction of property and vandalism
- Lying to obtain goods or to avoid obligations
- Running away from home
- Skipping school
- Staying out late at night despite curfew rules
