Conduct Disorder

Without intervention, ODD can develop into conduct disorder. Conduct disorder involves a repeating pattern of the violation of other people's rights or persistent violations of age-appropriate social rules. Conduct disorder often includes:
  • Physical aggression toward people or animals
  • Use of weapons, such as bats, knives, or guns
  • Theft
  • Forcing someone into sexual activity
  • Arson
  • Destruction of property and vandalism
  • Lying to obtain goods or to avoid obligations
  • Running away from home
  • Skipping school
  • Staying out late at night despite curfew rules
